Small Wonders Clinic
At Small Wonders, we focus on prevention and educate parents about the importance of early dental care. The AAPD recommends that children establish a dental home by their first birthday or within six months of their first tooth to monitor oral health and prevent future issues.
We are more than just a dental clinic—we are a nurturing space where wellness is prioritized.

A Note to parent
On your Child's first Dental Visit
Dear Parent,
You may remember feeling anxious or even afraid during your childhood dental visits. Many adults still experience this same fear, often avoiding necessary appointments to their own detriment.
Dental care has made significant advancements over the years, providing children with access to the latest techniques, tools, and materials. This allows us to offer safe, effective, and comfortable treatments in a supportive environment. Our team is trained in behavior management and child psychology, enabling us to address and ease any anxiety your child may have. This ensures that they experience minimal pain or discomfort. We are committed to creating a positive, stress-free dental experience, helping your child feel relaxed and confident while receiving the best possible care.
While we understand that you may have concerns about your child’s first dental visit, we kindly ask that you remain calm and positive. Children are very sensitive to emotions and can easily pick up on any anxiety, which could lead them to think there is something to fear. Even if you’re feeling nervous, try to stay upbeat and avoid using words like “shot,” “hurt,” or “needle,” and please don’t say, “If you don’t behave, I’ll take you to the dentist!” We want to create a positive first impression, and this will help avoid unnecessary worry.
Instead, make your child’s first visit an exciting and positive experience. Tell them in a relaxed way that the dentist will simply check their teeth, count them, teach them how to care for their teeth, and possibly take some pictures. This way, your child will see their dental appointment as a fun opportunity to meet friendly people who want to help them stay healthy.
Our team is dedicated to working with children and ensuring their visits are enjoyable. We invite you to work with us to cultivate a positive attitude towards dental care. Your support is essential in ensuring your child has a pleasant and successful experience.
Sincerely,
Dr.Shivani Daga
