Atraumatic Restorative Therapy

ART  uses Glass Ionomer (GI) as a filling material, which is white in color and releases fluoride over time. This fluoride helps to fight bacteria and rebuild the tooth’s enamel, and it can continue to recharge as your child brushes with fluoride toothpaste. Since the process doesn’t require removing all the decay, it reduces the need for shots or drilling. GI is also aesthetically pleasing and can be used on both front and back teeth. Additionally, it can help cover up any discoloration caused by Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF) treatments.
